A Note from a fellow Gen-Xer

At 55, I was laid off from the company where I had worked for 32 years.

At first, I panicked. Losing my job meant more than losing a paycheck. I had also lost the routine, security, and sense of direction that had been part of my life for more than three decades. Suddenly, I was left wondering what I was supposed to do next.

I knew I wanted to change gears, but I wasn’t sure where to begin. Eventually, I decided to take a chance on myself and start an online business—something completely new, exciting, and a little scary.

That experience inspired Latchkey Vibes.

My hope is to create a welcoming place for people navigating the same kinds of changes…whether that means recovering from a layoff, planning for retirement, caring for aging parents, finding helpful products, or simply figuring out what comes next.
